Father’s Day is nearly upon us, and you’re thinking it might be time to go above and beyond a new set of grill tools or beard grooming kits. What better way to celebrate your father than with something that he can wear proudly and use practically for years to come. And who knows, it might end up being passed on down right back to you. Whether you’ve got a little bit of money saved away for something special, or are ready to go all out and break the bank, we’ve got you covered with these 5 watches that are worthy #1 dads the world over.

The Bremont ALT1 Pilot brings classic British charm to a tried and true tool watch with chronometer grade accuracy. The ALT1 Pilot is features an automatic chronograph movement housed within he tough-as-nails TripTick case construction the likes of which are relied upon by actual pilots the world over. Tudor Heritage Black Bay

The Tudor Black Bay taps into a more than 50 year old heritage with a timeless design that holds up as well today as it did in the  late 50s. The Heritage Black Bay comes in a variety of renditions, and we think the black gilt dial with rivet bracelet is the right choice for Father’s Day. Inside the BlackBay is a Tudor manufactured automatic movement that winds smoothly, and keeps time within chronometer specs. There’s no superfluous complications to be found, not even a date, so the dial is a simple, time-only affair making it easy to appreciate the all the little details that make this watch so special. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean

The Seamaster Planet Ocean is recent addition to Omega’s robust dive watch catalog, and has quickly gained traction with fans. A co-axial escapement greatly reduces slide friction, eliminating the need for consistent lubrication over the years. Coupled with the use of a silicon hairspring, the movement is also less susceptible to temperature and magnetic variations, and delivers energy to the balance with greater efficiency. If those last few sentences sound like something your father would geek out over, the Planet Ocean may be the right choice for him. Check out the Seamaster Planet Ocean on StockX right here.

Rolex Daytona

The Daytona is the pinnacle of Rolex sport watches, with a heritage that technically begins in 1963, and is firmly rooted in motorsport. 1963 was the first year that Rolex served as the official timekeeper of the race for which the watch is named. The newest iteration of the Daytona comes with a ceramic (Cerachrom in Rolex speak) bezel and features slight dial revisions, but it’s largely the same as the previous generation of the watch. It wears impeccably on the wrist, perfectly balancing heft with wearability, at 40mm in diameter and on the thin side compared with most automatic chronographs, this is a watch you can wear effortlessly all day. This is a special watch that’s not going out of style anytime soon, even if his wardrobe does. Find the newest Rolex Daytona on StockX right here.

Lange & Sohne 1815

If your father isn’t really the sporting type, and prefers understated, old school craftsmanship instead, the A. Lange & Sohne 1815 will undoubtedly make the right impression. So named for the birth year of the company’s namesake, the 1815 exudes restraint and clear attention to detail. Turning the watch over yields a view at the breathtaking hand-wound movement, the caliber L051.1 featuring a massive three quarter plate made of German silver. This unique material gives off a warm glow aided by the hand finishing and Geneva striping that frame the hand-engraved balance cock and regulating organ. It’s truly a sight to behold, and speaks volumes to the character of the watch, embracing subtlety on it’s face, hiding a true work of art within. Should you opt for the Lange, it’ll make those weekend visits something to look forward to. Find the A. Lange & Sohne on StockX right here.
