As the calendar continues that slow creep toward summer, the age old question is back, causing more debate than a Skip Bayless morning show: What are the best sneakers to wear with shorts?
The question seemed so innocent at first, with the obvious answers flying around the office. Uptowns. UltraBoosts. Vans Slip-Ons. Chuck Taylors of course. But as we continued rattling off favorites, the more we realized the answer wasn’t so simple. Each pair posing a different pro for how they flex with those calves. Voices started to rise, tempers flared. I think someone threw an empty coffee cup at one point. So we decided the only way to truly determine a champion was to host a true playoff. A thunderdome of summer sneakers where many will enter and only one leaves supreme for those shorts. The inaugural Sneakers for Shorts Championship Bracket was born, and now we’re asking for your help to crown a champ.
We have created four Sneaker regions, Old School, New School, Runners, And Basketball to determine who reigns supreme with those shorts in the summer. All of the usual suspects are here.
