An incredibly sought after and versatile producer, Cam Wild was initially attracted to music by the mavericks, with influences ranging from Bjork to Timbaland to Flying Lotus. A self-taught musician, who also worked as his own A&R, Wild is a true tastemaker, utilizing his connections to collaborate with musicians from a range of genres.
His debut single “Crazy Life” ft. Young Adz has scored well over a million streams and has helped set the young producer on a rapid trajectory as an artist in his own right. We caught up with Wild for the latest installment of That’s 5.

What influences you?
Everything and everyone, shout out to FKA Twigs.
What’s the most overrated?
Not FKA Twigs. I’m joking! Too many things to list.
What’s the most underrated?
Being consistent, I think that you can achieve all of your goals through consistent hard work and not letting up. If you want to achieve something, there’s nothing stopping you but working day and night. I think people need to appreciate the length of time it takes to achieve, not just in music, but in any discipline.
What are you most excited about right now?
I’m most excited about making new music. I’ve got some amazing projects lined up with some incredible artists from all around the world that I’m very excited about because I’m experimenting with new sounds and genres. I’ve always wanted to make a lot of different music, and now that’s happening!
What’s next for you?
Aside from loads of exciting new music with international artists, I’m also working with some of my favorite new UK artists who will blow up in the next few months. I’ve been working with OXI, and we just released a track I produced. He’s going to do big things.
