When Did the Nike Air Max 1 Release?
While up until a few years ago Air Max 1 releases were pretty frequent, releases have become few and far between more recently. With that being said, Air Max 1 releases usually drop on the SNKRS app at 8:00 am GMT, after which you have fifteen minutes to complete your registration. Once the registration is complete and the fifteen-minute countdown has expired, you will be notified of either success or failure.
Air Max 1s General Releases can also be purchased on the Nike App or website on a FCFS (first come first served) basis. Again, this almost always happens at 8:00 am GMT, and you will be put into the queue for a few minutes. If you are one of the lucky winners you will be notified with the words “Got ‘Em” as confirmation of purchase.
How Much Do Air Max 1s Cost?
Air Max 1 retail prices are usually between £120 and £170. Prices may vary depending on the materials used and the edition. For example, in Air Max Patta Waves pack, the price difference between the four Air Max 1 colourways varied based on the materials used, with the Air Max 1 Patta Waves Rush Maroon and Air Max 1 Patta Waves Black colourway’s leather inserts meaning a higher retail price.
Where Can I Buy the Air Max 1?
In addition to Nike distribution channels, the Air Max 1 can be found in many official retailers of the Beaverton brand. Of course, as with most Nike shoes, this can vary based on the quantities produced, how they are distributed and whether it is a collaboration or not. Some collaborations for example may be released through exclusive distribution channels.
How Does the Air Max 1 Fit?
The Air Max 1 generally fits TTS (true to size), so if you are used to buying a size 11, it is recommended to buy the same size. Some versions with special materials, like the Air Max 1 Clot Kiss Of Death fit differently. Pay close attention to the materials and do your research online to get a better sense of the fit.
Why Is It Not Recommended To Buy Older Air Max 1s?
Like all Nike shoes with Air technology visible in the midsole, time is not on your side with Air Max 1. It’s almost certain that the Air unit will explode and the sole will crumble, as the longer the shoes are left worn, the more the polyurethane in the midsole loses elasticity and tends to crumble. Of course, no one is stopping you from buying old Air Max 1s, but if you intend to wear them, you should budget for a sole swap.
