This week, BAPE and Hot Wheels came together to create a first-of-its-kind 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL die-cast model, LEGO drops the long-awaited Vincent van Gogh Starry Night set to the general public, and Panini gives us the 2021 edition of the hobby-favorite Prizm Football in addition to their second WWE offering since it took over the wrestling league’s exclusive license in April of this year. Hot Wheels x BAPE 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL
This past weekend we received the first-ever collaboration between Hot Wheels and BAPE in the form of the Hot Wheels x BAPE 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. The 1/64 scale model of a classic 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL features the vehicle’s quintessential gullwing doors, in addition to a California BAPE branded license plate, and comes wrapped in BAPE’s signature First Camo pattern in green.
The Hot Wheels x BAPE 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was first released on May 27th for a retail price of $50 on the Mattel Creations official website.
LEGO Ideas Vincent van Gogh Starry Night Set
The LEGO Ideas Vincent van Gogh Starry Night Set has been talked about for months, and this week the anticipation will finally be over as the set sees its official public release. Designed by long-time LEGO fan Truman Cheng from Hong Kong, this LEGO kit is made up of 2,316 pieces that mimic Van Gogh’s signature thick brush strokes in extravagant detail. This model of the post-impressionist masterpiece uses unique 3D brick stacking techniques to fully capture the swirling texture of the original painting. To complete this creative collectible, the set comes with a first-of-its-kind van Gogh Minifigure, paintbrush, palette, and mini easel.
The LEGO Ideas Vincent van Gogh Starry Night Set was first released on May 25th exclusively to LEGO VIP and MoMA members, with the public release taking place on June 1st for a retail price of $170.
2021 Panini Prizm Football Hobby Box
In the modern football card hobby, no set is more widely collected than Panini Prizm Football, and this week the 2021 edition will finally grace us with its presence. 330 cards make up the base set checklist, 110 of which are NFL rookies who made their debut last season such as Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Ja’Marr Chase, Mac Jones, Trey Lance, plus more. 2021 Panini Prizm Football also provides 23 different color variation Prizm parallels for each base card including the hobby-favorite Prizm Silver, and case-hit Snakeskin Prizm. There are several subsets this year, but the main highlights include Color Blast inserts, anime-inspired Manga cards, and a collection of sticker autographs including Rookie Autographs, Rookie Patch Autographs, and Legend Autographs.
The 2021 Panini Prizm Hobby Box follows a similar format from last year with a few upgrades, as this year you will find four Silver Prizms, five Inserts, and ten limited print run serial numbered parallels. Upon ripping the box, you will find 12 cards per pack, and 12 packs per box including two autographs.
The 2021 Panini Prizm Football Hobby Box will be released on June 3rd on the Panini Direct Store, with Blaster Boxes, Mega Boxes, Hangers, and more expected to be stocked shortly following the release of the Hobby Box.
2021-22 Bowman University Basketball
2021-22 Bowman University Basketball is the second set this year that Topps is debuting thanks to the new NCAA NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) agreement that was implemented in June of 2021. The legislation allows collegiate athletes to be featured on cards even before they are ready to enter the NBA Draft. The inaugural set will include some of the top names being discussed as potential NBA lottery picks such as Chet Holmgren, Keegan Murray, Johnny Davis, plus more. Outside of the base set, and its rainbow of refractor parallels, the set brings excitement in the form of sticker autographs for many of the top talents.
Within each 2021-22 Bowman University Basketball Hobby Box, you will find four cards per pack, and 24 packs per box. Additionally, each box will add two autographs to your collection, on average.

2022 Topps MLS Soccer
2022 Topps MLS Soccer sees the annual return of the flagship set for the top American soccer league. The base set stays consistent from last year as it contains 200 cards that feature current stars and rookies, plus five different color variation parallels for each card. Hits in the set come in the form of sticker autographs and relic cards, with the pieces of memorabilia coming from players’ nameplates, in addition to one-of-a-kind Team Crest Patches.
The 2022 Topps MLS Soccer Hobby Box holds eight cards per pack, and 24 packs per box. Each box holds an average of three hits that can be any combination of autographs and relic cards.
2022 Topps MLS Hobby Boxes are set to be released on June 1st at online and local trading card hobby shops, with lower price point retail boxes beginning to stock in the weeks following.
2022 Panini Revolution WWE
Earlier this year, Panini dropped their first-ever WWE set with 2022 Prizm WWE, and following that release they are back with 2022 Panini Revolution WWE. The primary card design displays a colorful foil board backdrop with each wrestler prominently featured in the foreground. Galactic parallels, Liftoff! die-cuts, and sticker autographs signed by current stars and past Legends headline the hits in this debut edition.
The 2022 Panini Revolution WWE Hobby Box is loaded with five cards per pack and eight packs per box, promising a total of eight parallels and five inserts.

2021-22 Topps UEFA Champions League Chrome Soccer Hobby Box
2021-22 Topps UEFA Champions League Chrome Soccer brings a collection of the top European clubs and players to the hobby. This year’s set brings with it the biggest base set to date with 200 cards, plus 25 different limited print run Refractor parallels for each card. Young standouts in the league, such as FC Barcelona’s Pedri, are highlighted in the Future Stars subset, while several of the game’s headliners have sticker autographs in Chrome Autographs, Chasing Glory Autographs, and Golazo Autographs.
The 2021-22 Topps UEFA Champions League Chrome Hobby Box holds four cards per pack, and 18 packs per box promising one Chrome Autograph in each box.

The base set is home to 200 cards, with hits in the set making appearances in subsets like Overdrive, Stained Glass, Autographs Mosaic, and Scripts Mosaic.
The 2021-22 Panini Mosaic Serie A Soccer Hobby Box comes in the standard format offering 15 cards per pack, and ten packs per box. Each box is slated to have one autograph as well.
