First, StockX only deals with authentic watches in brand new condition, so that every purchase made on our site can be made with confidence. By “Brand New”, we mean unworn in flawless condition and must come with both the original box and brand warranty card. With warranty cards, we strongly encourage they feature a date, but that is not required. In addition to ensuring every watch is in its best condition before it gets to you, our master watchmakers inspect every piece to confirm its perfect condition. We thoroughly check the internal movement’s condition and perform timing, amplitude, and water resistance tests.
Second, if the watch originally came with any additional accessories (i.e. additional straps, tools, etc), those all must be included as well. Boxes, warranty cards, and all additional accessories must also be in pristine, brand new condition, meaning no boxes or bands can be falling apart.
Third, for a watch to pass our authenticity standards, its bracelet must also fit a 7-inch wrist for a men’s watch. For a woman’s watch, a 6-inch wrist. Additional links are strongly encouraged if available, but if they did not originally come with the watch, then the watch is still acceptable.
Finally, watches straight from retailers will pass for authentication despite possibly having superficial signs of wear from handling or storage.
In order to ensure pristine pieces for our buyers, items can be refused for broken parts, not meeting condition guidelines, or not including required original accessories like straps, links, boxes, and others.
Box & Accessories:
The watch must come with original packaging and additional accessories (i.e. additional straps, tools, etc). The box, warranty cards, and all additional accessories must also be in pristine, brand new condition. The box should not be falling apart.
Case & Lugs:
The watch’s case and lugs should maintain their original shape and not be overpolished. Scratches on either its top and underside are not accepted.
Bezel & Crystal:
The bezel must be in flawless condition, meaning scratches, dents, and any other markings are unacceptable and will not pass our authentication process. The crystal must be free of all scratches and dents and must be original to the watch.
Bracelet & Strap:
The bracelet must be free of all scratches and dents and must be original to the watch. The bracelet must also not have any stretch to it at all and be in brand new condition. The watch’s strap must not show signs of wear, such as fraying or stains, and must not be bent or creased.
