March was a wild month for everyone, not just the streetwear world. With nearly every brand in the US closing down in-store operations for social distancing measures, retail itself has been forced to bend around the new reality that took its shape last month. This has led to major shifts as we take a look at the biggest streetwear releases of March. The first two on this list, Supreme’s latest collaboration with The North Face and their Week 2 drop, came prior to the measures put in place to keep everyone safe. After Supreme’s Week 3 release, though, product photography from the drop became unavailable, giving other brands an opportunity to snatch up spots on this list. Scroll down to take a look at March’s biggest streetwear drops featuring two releases by Supreme and releases from Stussy and Kith.

Supreme x The North Face RTG

Supreme’s seasonal collaboration with The North Face came very early in SS20, releasing as a part of their Week 3 drop. The release was the highest-selling streetwear drop on StockX in the month of March which comes as no surprise as Supreme x TNF has consistently been the brand’s biggest week of the season for the past couple years. Unlike previous Supreme x TNF drops, it was a tee and not a jacket that took the top spot with the RTG Tee selling over 1,200 times last month. Second to that, Supreme’s RTG Jacket + Vest was the next most popular item, reselling just over 400 pieces in the month of March. The lower jacket sale volumes come as a surprise, seeing that in the past, Supreme x The North Face jackets are often the most coveted items, selling by the thousands in the first few weeks released. The low sales numbers on the jackets may be due to the high retail prices or warming weather, but could signal that this release just wasn’t it. Supreme SS20 Week 2

Coming two weeks after a huge Week 1 release, Supreme’s second delivery of SS20 didn’t disappoint. The drop included a sneaker collaboration with Nike, bringing to life a new Air Force 1 featuring a Supreme logo. In total, over 10,000 of the Supreme x Nike Air Force 1’s have been resold on StockX already at an average price premium of over 100%.  While the AF1’s were certainly the standout pieces of the week, Supreme’s Transparent Lock accessory also posted solid sales numbers, reselling over 900 times since its release at an average price premium of 65%. Supreme’s Underline Crewnecks also pulled in solid sales, reselling over 850 times. AF1 sales included, Supreme’s SS20 Week 2 release was by far the biggest release in March but their streetwear sales numbers still come in lower than that of Supreme x The North Face RTG. Stussy x Nike

Stussy, the Godfather brand of streetwear, poked their head into our “most popular” section in March with the release of their collaborative apparel capsule with Nike. The release marks Stussy’s first high profile collaboration to post solid resale numbers since their collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market last summer. The brand usually flies below the radar, selling out each week but not really making noise on the resale front – their collaborations usually have a totally different story to tell. Stussy x Nike first released on Stussy’s website, selling out instantly and posting low sales numbers on StockX before releasing again via the SNKRS app. The collection’s most popular item was the grey fleece crewneck, which has resold on average at a price premium of over 50% and has posted nearly 400 sales in the short time since its release. Kith x Notorious B.I.G.

While usually not a brand to post crazy resale numbers, Kith does tend to garner very consistent resale numbers for each and every release. Their collaboration with Notorious B.I.G. posted bigger numbers than usual on StockX in March, bringing the drop in at as the fourth largest release of the month. The Kith x Biggie Classic Logo Tee was the best performing item from the collaboration, reselling for prices of nearly 3x retail. The rest of the collection hasn’t posted numbers that high but most other items from the release have resold with price premiums of over 50%!
