StockX Scoreboard - Return of the Off-Whites

Here’s the StockX Sneaker Scoreboard for the week of November 3 – 10:

This was the first week since we began producing the weekly scoreboard where not a single sneaker in the Top 5 was a new release. The best selling shoe this week was the Yeezy “Zebra”– an amazing feat, considering the Zebra dropped 37 weeks ago, in February 2017. Then again, Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” spent 87 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100; by that standard, the Zebra’s still pretty fresh. Taking silver and bronze are two shoes from Virgil Abloh’s much-hyped “Off-White” collection: the Blazer and the Jordan 1. Both of those shoes had their official, limited release back in September; they were then made available in wider release – along with 5 new Abloh silhouettes – on October 25. Consequently, the sales volume numbers skyrocketed, by 753% and 334% respectively. Rounding out the Top 5 was the Jordan Royal 1s and the Air Max Anniversary Royal.

For our Market Movers panel, both the biggest price increase and the biggest price decrease belonged to Abloh’s Off-White capsule. The biggest decline belonged to the Off-White Blazers, which saw their average price fall 26%, from $803 to $597. This isn’t surprising considering the initial release back in September was limited, and the wider release in October boosted supply without substantially diminishing demand. The biggest increase belonged to the Off-White Air Max 97s, which climbed 26%, from $765 to $961. Unlike the Blazer, the Air Max 97s didn’t officially hit the market until November 1st. It’s common to see prices fluctuate fairly wildly in the first 2 weeks of trading, and that’s what happened here. Good news for those buyers who copped early!
