Supreme’s The North Face collaborations are the best the New York streetwear brand has to offer. As the popular Supreme Box Logo begins to release in higher quantities and more designs than ever, the brand’s outerwear collections with The North Face have remained limited and coveted. This season’s collaboration pulls one of Supreme’s most popular logos, the S Logo, and blows it up to cover the front and back of three different types of jackets, a backpack, a sleeping bag, and mittens. If this release performs anything like its predecessors who bore the brand’s popular logos or large blown up imagery, these jackets are going to be a hit.
Supreme and The North Face returned to one of their well-worn paths in FW20 with yet another iteration of the popular Mountain Jacket. Also released was a Supreme S Logo emblazoned Himalayan Parka, described by The North Face as a “jacket designed for reaching the top of the world;” it is the warmest jacket they offer. The third collaborative jacket from this drop was the Hooded Fleece which features a full zip and two zippable pockets. Each jacket in the collection features the usual Supreme The North Face patches on the right arm of the jackets as well as the massive S Logo that covers the majority of the left side of each jacket. The two brands also released four collaborative accessories bearing the massive S Logo, dropping Expedition Backpacks, Dolomite Sleeping Bags, Nuptse Mittens, and Shoulder Bags. Each item from the collaboration dropped in three colors: black, red, and green.
Based on past collections like the Statue Of Liberty or Arc Logo collaborations, these Supreme The North Face S Logo jackets have the potential to make a big impact on the resale market. Comparisons between the S Logo and the Statue Of Liberty collection make sense. Both jackets feature massive imagery that take up most of the coat, delivering an outerwear design like no other. It also makes sense to weigh the S Logo jackets against SS19’s Arc Logo jackets as both collections deliver a TNF take on popular non-box-logo Supreme branding. Both the Statue Of Liberty and Arc Logo collections resold extremely well upon their releases last year so it’s not a stretch to assume that the S Logo collection may turn out to be the best selling Supreme The North Face collaboration of 2020. We’re thinking this collection will rival that of the Statue Of Liberty Collection, which happened to be one of the best selling collections to release last year. With three types of jackets and a massive S Logo, it’s hard to see this Supreme The North Face collaboration not blowing up.
