Jordan 1 High Volt Gold

Itā€™s a New Year, so of course, we can expect that there will be new Jordan 1s. Jordan Brand is starting 2021 on a high note with the Jordan 1 High Volt Gold. The Volt Gold offers a new take on the renowned Black Toe theme by implementing new materials and features that contribute to a reconstructed design aesthetic.

In familiar Black Toe color blocking, the upper of the Jordan 1 Volt Gold is composed of white, black, and yellow leather. A Volt yellow-tinted panel donning the Jordan Wings logo wraps the ankle. Unlike OG Jordan 1 designs that feature double stitch reinforcement, the Volt Gold utilizes single stitch reinforcement on its overlays, creating dimensionality with exposed edges. A nylon tongue with exposed foam edges and reverse transparent tongue label emphasize Jordanā€™s reconstructed design approach. A yellowed midsole and black outsole offer an aged look.

The Jordan 1 High Volt Gold releases this Saturday, January 9th for $170 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers.

Nike Air Max 97 Undefeated UCLA

LA-based sneaker mainstay Undefeated adds their eclectic taste to the Air Max 97 once again with the Nike Air Max 97 Undefeated UCLA. This UCLA Bruins inspired colorway completes the latest collaborative efforts from both companies, which also included Militia Green and Black Volt AM97 colorways that were exclusive to Undefeated stores.

The Nike Air Max 97 Undefeated UCLA picks up where past collaborations on the silhouette left off. The upper is composed of a white mesh with white, yellow, and blue leather piping wrapped from the toe box to the heel. ā€œUndefeatedā€ branding is repeated throughout the blue piping, following an identical format as seen in past releases. A full-length Air Max unit and gum outsole add the finishing touches.

The Nike Air Max 97 Undefeated drops this week on Friday, January 8th for $180 on the SNKRS app and at select stockists.

Following the release of the New Balance 990v3 Stray Rats in 2019, New Balance and Stray Rats have expanded their horizons by utilizing lesser-known silhouettes in their collaborative efforts. Last year, the New Balance 827 went from a deep-cut silhouette from the NB archive to the star of streetwear collaboration with Stray Rats playing a major role in their comeback, and now, the New Balance 574 is set to make a similar comeback.

The New Balance 574 Stray Rats arrives in two complementary colorways: Green and Red. Each model features a nylon upper with suede and leather overlays. A leather and suede N logo graces the outer-lateral foot while an embroidered Stray Rats insignia covers the heel. Dual-branding on the tongue and insole, a white ENCAP midsole, and a black outsole complete this design.

Both colorways of the New Balance 574 Stray Rats release this Friday, January 8th for $100 on Stray Ratsā€™ website.

Nike Air Force 1 Craft Mantra Orange

After almost 40 years, the Air Force 1 remains a staple in sneaker culture. A pair of OG all-whites could stand the test of time on their own, but Nike still finds new ways to update the classic without interrupting its key elements. Nikeā€™s Air Force 1 Craft collection takes a luxurious approach to the AF1 design by employing premium materials, and its execution is on full display with the Nike Air Force 1 Craft Mantra Orange.

The Nike Air Force 1 Craft Mantra Orange is as clean as it gets if you are looking for an all-white AF1 with a splash of color. The upper is composed of white luxe tumbled leather with an orange suede Swoosh and heel tab, adding to the quality feel. An all-white sole completes this modernized classic.

The Nike Air Force 1 Craft Mantra Orange drops this Wednesday, January 6th for $120 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers.

Nike is throwing it back to 1989 and relaunching the original Lahar Escape Boot as a womenā€™s exclusive with the Nike Lahar Low (W). The original Escape Boot was built for hiking rough terrain, featuring a high-top leather silhouette with a hiking lacing system, whereas the Lahar Low is designed for everyday casual wear in modern urban landscapes.

The Nike Lahar Low arrives in both Black and Brown colorways. Both feature a heavy-duty leather upper with rugged-tread lacing and metal eyelets as a homage to the original hiking boot. A thick, lugged sole provides support for daily wear in unpredictable conditions.

The Nike Lahar Low (W) releases this Wednesday, January 6th for $130 on the SNKRS app and at select stockists.
