Nike SB Dunk Low Street Hawker

The Nike SB Dunk Low continues its reign into 2021 with the Street Hawker colorway. To celebrate Chinese New Year, the story behind the upper reflects the world-wide love for Chinese cuisine.

The Nike Dunk Low Street Hawker is a piece of artwork in itself, as the upper features mismatched watercolors on a majority of canvas, leather, and suede construction. From there, Chinese characters replace traditional “Nike” heel embroidery. Additionally, a stitched copper coin pays homage to the surrounding aspects of Eastern culinary culture.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Street Hawker drops this Friday, January 22nd for $110 on the SNKRS app and at select stockists.

Jordan 4 Retro Starfish (W)

Jordan Brand looks to the stars for inspiration in their upcoming Jordan 4 Retro Starfish (W). This Women’s exclusive blends style with functionality through its use of technical materials that are commonly found on astronaut suits.

It’s strange that Jumpman would borrow design elements from space travel for this Jordan 4 and then name it after a sea creature. But after analyzing what Starfishes actually look like, the color comparison is on point. The upper of the Jordan 4 Retro Starfish (W) is composed of black metallic mesh with hits of Starfish orange outlining the shoe’s paneling. Matte TPU heel tabs and wings alongside black netting on the quarter panels nod to classic Jordan 4 features. Raw edge construction on the tongue exposes foam material, similar to the Jordan 4 Off-White (W). A black, grey, and Starfish orange sole completes this astronomical design.

The Jordan 4 Retro Starfish (W) releases this Friday, January 22nd for $200 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers.

Nike Dunk High Notre Blue Void

Chicago-based boutique Notre is teaming up with Nike Sportwear to tell their story of Midwest grit through the Nike Dunk High Notre Blue Void. This collaboration marks the third time in the last six months that Nike has partnered with a retailer to put a spin on the classic Dunk High silhouette.

The Nike Dunk High Notre Blue Void features a light grey leather and canvas upper with shaggy Blue Void suede overlays. Notre’s “Handshake” motif, which was prominently featured in their most recent release with Vans, is incorporated into the navy medial Swoosh. A name-tag-styled detachable patch donning Notre script on the tongue resembles something you would find on a mechanic’s coveralls. A faded canvas heel tab and yellowed midsole provide the feeling of wear and tear as a result of a hard day of work.

The Nike Dunk High Notre Blue Void drops this Saturday, January 23rd for $150 on the SNKRS app and at select stockists.

adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Sun

After a year hiatus with no new colorways, Yeezy is bringing back the original 700 silhouette in a bright new colorway with the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Sun. The Sun is the latest offering to show off Yeezy’s growing color palette which has expanded past brown and grey earth tones.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Sun is primarily composed of a bright yellow mesh, leather, and suede upper with back and teal overlays located over the forefoot. 3M detailing on the heel, a bright orange Boost midsole, and a dark grey outsole adds the finishing touches to this vibrant design.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Sun releases this Saturday, January 23rd for $240 on Yeezy Supply and at select retailers.

Jordan Brand is ringing in the Chinese New Year with the Jordan 5 Low Chinese New Year. On the surface, this low-top Jordan 5 might appear to merely be a clean, cream sneaker, but below the surface is a loud, patterned print ready to be unleashed.

The upper of the Jordan 5 Low Chinese New Year is composed of a Sail tear-away canvas that exposes a vibrant, multicolor pattern underneath. The sole is primarily Sail with hits of red and yellow on the lateral toe in the familiar shark-tooth design. Other details include the word “ACTION” below the medial netting and a Jumpman banner patch featuring Chinese characters that read “23” located on the heel.

The Jordan 5 Low Chinese New Year drops this Saturday, January 23rd for $215 on the SNKRS app and at select shops.
