This week is all about retros. Nike brings back a 2001 Air Force 1 classic, Jordan Brand revamps one of the most coveted Air Jordan 1s from 1985, and Tracy McGrady and adidas treat 2021 like it’s 2003 with a patent leather T-Mac 2.0. Check out these releases and more in this latest Drop List.

Air Jordan 1 ‘85 Neutral Grey

We’re only into the second month of 2021 and Jordan Brand is already setting the tone with one of the most anticipated releases of the year. The Air Jordan 1 ‘85 Neutral Grey returns this year for the first time since its 1985 release, and Jordan Brand isn’t holding back on its details.

The Air Jordan 1 ‘85 Neutral Grey features noticeable differences from other Jordan 1 High retros. The biggest difference is the Neutral Grey’s shape, as the slightly curved heel that has been standard since 2015’s Chicago 1s, is subbed with a straighter cut. From there, the “Wings” logo on the collar gets revamped with a more textured feel, while the Swoosh and collar underlays of Neutral Grey suede add to the sneaker’s OG status.

The Air Jordan 1 ‘85 Neutral Grey releases this week, Wednesday, February 10th, for $190 on the SNKRS app and select Jordan stockists.

Air Jordan 14 Low CLOT Terracotta

Chinese brand CLOT continues its partnership with Nike and Jordan Brand with the upcoming Jordan 14 Low. This marks their fifth collab on a Jordan model, as CLOT uses Jordan Retro silhouettes as a canvas to share stories of Chinese culture and history.

The Air Jordan 14 CLOT design is inspired by The Terracotta Army, clay warrior statues that protected China’s Emperor at his burial in 213 B.C. The sneaker takes cues from the warriors’ color scheme, adding earthy tones to every part of the silhouette. The upper mimics the amour featured on each statue. Lastly, the heel features a red-stitched medallion, adding to its historic theme.

The Air Jordan 14 CLOT releases on Thursday, February 11th, on the SNKRS app and other Jordan stockists.

Nike Air Force 1 Silver Snake (2021)

Despite the ever-changing scene of sneaker culture, the Air Force 1 is one of the few shoes that has withstood the test of time. After Bruce Kilgore designed the shoe in the 1980s, the silhouette has maintained its structure and classic look, while exploring new colorways and materials. This week, Nike brings back one of their earlier retros, the 2001 Silver Snake Co.JP.

The Nike Air Force 1 Silver Snake returns in its original style, as Nike has consistently pushed out updated retros of the 1982 silhouette. A clash of black tumbled leather and reflective overlays compose the majority of the upper, tongue, and heel. Contributing to its “Snake”, the Swoosh is home to faux snakeskin material, adding a pop of luxury to the traditional basketball sneaker. A mini-Swoosh closer to the toe of the shoe and blue embroidered “Nike Air” on the heel tab complete this retro classic.

Be on the lookout for the Nike Air Force 1 Silver Snake to drop this Thursday, February 11th, on the SNKRS app and other Nike stockists.

adidas Yeezy 500 Shale Warm

In 2021, it’s been unusually quiet for adidas and Yeezy. But it looks like the two brands are building back momentum with the new Yeezy 500 High Shale Warm. Even though there are a lot of 500 low colorways, this upcoming Shale Warm release is only the third high silhouette to release from Kanye West and the Three Stripes.

The adidas Yeezy 500 Shale Warm brings back the high cut silhouette with earthy tones. The upper shows off a mix of materials like neoprene, leather, and suede in earth tones. The sneaker is equipped with a rugged, non-marking outsole and a mudguard to help withstand any terrain. Tumbled leather detailing adds a more luxe feel to the boot-like silhouette.

The adidas Yeezy 500 Shale Warm released this Monday, February 8th, for $200 on Yeezysupply.com, adidas.com, and other Yeezy stockists.

adidas T-Mac 2.0 EVO All-Star

Don’t call it a comeback! Tracy McGrady’s classic All-Star sneaker is back in full retro form. After almost 17 years from its first release, the two sneakers return as NBA fans wait eagerly for the All-Star game. Even though the traditional All-Star rollout won’t be the same as previous years, this upcoming release brings back all of the great moments that have come from the yearly NBA event.

The adidas T-Mac 2.0 EVO All-Star pack brings all of the 2004 vibes with it, featuring patent leather uppers and bold “Three Stripes” design elements that were prominent with the time period. A mesh tongue and ankle collar add a sock-like mechanism to the insole, while perforated toe panels bring breathability for running on the hardwood. An old school T-Mac logo on the ankle and an embossed adidas logo on the heel adds to this retro design.

The adidas T-Mac 2.0 EVO All-Star pack drops Friday, February 12th, for $130 on adidas.com and other adidas stockists.
