Hot Right Now

Card cases, waist bags, and belts are in demand this season on StockX and MCM was the clear winner, with the mini red black card case, stark backpack in black as well as the Ottomar leather monogram backpack rounding out three of the top five.

The Goyard Saint Sulpice card case crafted from classic Goyardine canvas has also remained popular, as has the Louis Vuitton Monogram pochette, a unique add-on item to Louis Vuitton Neverfull bags that you can’t purchase on its own, which means it’s the best thing you can buy or sell in the resale market.

Price Change Alert

Ever since its much anticipated release last July, the LV x Supreme collection has become increasingly hard to find, while also highly sought after. The following items have seen a dramatic rise in price:

This Louis Vuitton x Supreme Brazza Wallet in black is made with durable Epi leather. The Epi leather collection is the first permanent collection of the fashion house and goes through a special dying process which allows for more vibrant colors to shine through. This is a practical wallet that comes with several pockets, slots and compartments.

The Louis Vuitton x Supreme Danube PM in water resistant Epi leather has the iconic shape of the classic Louis Vuitton Danube with all the style Supreme has to offer. The Danube, named after Europe’s second longest river, has black microfibre lining, silvertone hardware, an adjustable canvas strap and an outside front pocket.

This red Louis Vuitton x Supreme Slender Wallet is a compact and slim wallet in which you can carry credit cards and cash without the weight of your average wallet. With eight credit card slots, one bill compartment and stamped cowhide leather lining this wallet is a new take on the classic Louis Vuitton Slender Wallet style, which the fashion house describes as being “slender by name, slender by nature.

Bags in Demand

Wanted: A Louis Vuitton x Rei Kawakubo Tote. This unusual, limited edition item with holes and classic Monogram canvas made in collaboration with Comme des Garcons founder Rei Kawakubo is highly sought after on StockX right now, with a whopping $3,400 bid – that’s $600 over its original retail price of $2,790.

Part of the Louis Vuitton Iconoclasts collection released in 2014, it features “asymmetric cutouts set to reflect Kawakubo’s innovative approach to fashion.

If you have this bag, now is the time to sell. StockX’s large designer bag and accessory catalog allowed buyers to put bids on bags, even if no one is selling it. You can bid on items, like this LV x Rei Kawakubo tote, and wait for sellers to come to you. If you want to buy a bag, it’s your way of telling the world, “hi world, if you want to sell a bag at this price I’ve set, I will buy it and love it and cherish it forever and ever and ever.” If you want to sell a bag, you’ve already got someone who wants it. It’s a win-win. Find out how to sell bags on StockX.

What’s Old is New

The Dior Saddle bag is back, and we’re pretty sure Carrie Bradshaw would 100% approve. The Dior Saddle bag was brought to life in 1999 by then Dior creative director John Galliano at the fashion house’s Spring 2000 Ready to Wear Show, achieving “It” bag status in the years after its debut, before interest waned in the mid 2000s. In 2014, the Universe anointed Saint Beyonce with the task of bringing it back, and soon after she was photographed carrying it, interest picked up again. This year, current Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri included the Saddle bag in Dior’s Fall 2018 Ready to Wear show in Paris, bringing an almost 20-year fashion cycle full circle.
