Nothing beats the classics, but sometimes the classics can be too fragile to wear, extremely hard to find, or very expensive. Thanks to the power of nostalgia and marketing, brands like Supreme, Nike, and Jordan, tap into OG designs and either bring them back to their original form or add a new spin to them, making these items easily accessible once again. If you or a loved one appreciates the originals and wants to dip a toe in the present-day pond, check out these updated classics under $200.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG Neutral Grey (2021)

For a sneaker that’s over 30 years old, the Air Jordan 1 still remains one of the most timeless silhouettes in sneaker culture. Even though there have been multiple iterations of the AJ1, each attracting new and seasoned buyers to the sneaker, its classic colorways still reign supreme for most. This Air Jordan 1 Low Neutral Grey falls into that “classics” category, as 2021 marks the colorway’s return, over three decades since its debut. The original high version of this sneaker was one of the first few colorways to usher in Michael Jordan’s partnership with Nike, alongside staples such as the Royal, Bred, and Shadow. But because of its old age and fragile state, many of today’s sneakerheads and admirers alike have had to wait patiently for a retro treatment. Releasing in both high and low form, this updated classic features smooth white leather uppers with neutral grey accents to honor the colorway’s return. The Air Jordan 1 Neutral Grey is accessible now more than ever, as it is also trading under $200 in many popular sizes, which is rare for a colorway and model of its kind.

Supreme The North Face RTG Fleece Glove

Supreme and The North Face collaborate every year and bring updated looks to some of TNF’s most iconic pieces. Founded in 1966, The North Face has been at the center of constructing long-lasting clothing equipped to withstand both the most extreme and casual of terrains. Helping maintain its position within outerwear and branch out into other facets of fashion, brands like Dover Street Market, Gucci, and Brain Dead have worked on some of TNF’s classic products, and these RTF gloves are just one of their many items to receive a collaborative touch. In 2020, Supreme dropped a bright iteration of The North Face’s RTG Fleece Glove. Despite the gloves’ uncommon choice of vibrant color, they still deliver on their durable quality and are capable of withstanding colder climates.

Supreme Box Logo L/S Navy

The Box Logo design made its first appearance on a t-shirt back in 1994 when Supreme’s founder, James Jebbia, released the brand’s first set of tees. Since then, the classic Box Logo and short sleeve tee combo still remain the most sought-after item from the brand. And although the graphic has been added to hoodies, crewnecks, and even sneakers, the Futura font and rectangular box have never seen the front of a long sleeve tee in that classic style until 2020. This revamped classic features the same look and feel as the traditional Box Logo but is just more equipped for colder days. The tee also brings a darker shade to the design as the navy Box Logo blends into the navy long sleeve. A short sleeve Box Logo in its original design could cost you thousands of dollars, but this one can be yours for just a little over $150. If this were 2012, that kind of price for any Supreme Box Logo would be unfathomable, so make sure to add this to your holiday shopping list before prices start to climb again.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme

As mentioned, Supreme’s Box Logo has been printed on almost everything, including sneakers. In 2020, Nike partnered with the brand to add a subtle alteration to the fan-favorite Nike Air Force 1. This new version of the Air Force 1 still features all of the classic elements that have made the silhouette a classic in the sneaker game. From a total white leather upper and perforated toe to the star-studded outsole and white Swoosh on the sides, this has the makings of your traditional Air Force 1. The only difference here is the small Box Logo on the heel. The Box Logo presence brings clout to the sneaker but doesn’t take away anything from the familiar sneaker design. As prices average around $160 for most sizes, the Nike Air Force 1 Supreme won’t take too much from your wallet either.

Air Jordan 7 Flint (2021)

This year, Jordan Brand revisited one of their most classic colorways for the Air Jordan 7, the Flint. The Air Jordan 7 Flint first arrived in 2006, alongside other iconic AJ7 colorways that made their debuts, such as the Cardinal and Maize. Even though Jordan never laced these while playing on the court, their association with the greatest of all time and their retro aesthetic has helped make them one of the more popular Jordan 7s to release. This newest rerelease of the classic is currently selling at an absolute steal, as most sizes are up for grabs below their $190 retail price point.

Casio G-Shock x Be@rbrick Shanghai Night Series GM-5600sn-1

Since its late 80s beginnings, the Casio G-Shock 5600 has released in an array of colors and styles but has yet to lose its quality touch. This iteration from Be@rbrick holds the 5600’s familiar shape along the watch’s body and band, but instead of its OG black rubber, it opts for a colorful ombre stainless steel case. Mimicking the hues of a Shanghai sunset, the G-Shock GM-5600sn-1 brings a fresh take to this quintessential timepiece. Its price point isn’t something to shy away from either, as it is currently selling close to $150, below its $295 retail price.

Nintendo Switch/Lite Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Twin Pack

Pokémon dominates nostalgia these days. With trading cards selling for hundreds of dollars (or more) and video games bringing in both new and old Pokémon to players, the brand continues to help build memories with their users every year since its early beginnings in 1996. This year, The Pokémon Company revamped two of their original games from the franchise, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and repackaged them as Pokémon Brillant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The new versions of the game feature updated graphics, avatar customization, and the ability to discover new Pokémon, all while you explore the Sinnoh region once again.

Nintendo 64 Controller 114294

It’s Friday night. Your mom just picked you up from school and she’s ordering pizza for dinner. You invite your friends to celebrate the start of the weekend. Storming down the stairs to the basement with a stomach full of pepperoni slices and fruit punch, you plug in your Nintendo 64 and play Mario Kart until you can’t keep your eyes open. Now, you’re much older and might still find joy in playing video games, but want to feel that same excitement as you did when you were just a kid in the 90s. Bring back the good times with this Nintendo 64 Controller optimized for the Nintendo Switch. This retro Nintendo 64 Controller released to coincide with Nintendo’s Expansion pack for the Switch, which features enhanced versions of classic Nintendo 64 games. The controller gives the same look and feel of the original from 1996, with additional, pre-installed vibration, a feature added to mimic the popular Rumble Pack of the time. Play all of your favorites the right way, and maybe eat a slice while you’re at it.

LEGO Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System Set 71374

Taking interactive gaming to a new level is this collaborative release from LEGO and Nintendo. The two brands came together to create a buildable Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System Set. Paying homage to the 1983 Nintendo Entertainment System console and Super Mario game, the set includes buildable versions of both and even includes a buildable television model to help further deliver that nostalgic feel. The set is currently selling under its original MSRP, but prices are sure to shoot up during the holidays as this is one of the more popular LEGO sets on StockX.
