Nike Space Hippie 03

The Nike Space Hippie 03 is a sustainable silhouette released by Nike as part of the Space Hippie collection. The eco-friendly sneakers are made from recycled materials and sport a unique colorway. 

The high-cut Nike Space Hippie 03 sneakers feature a sock-like upper made of a knit material known as rPoly, a special variation of Nike’s FlyKnit technology made of reprocessed plastic bottles, yarn scraps, and clothing. The Space Hippie 03 sneakers have a futuristic design thanks to their high-top form, exposed Flyease FastFit lacing system, and thick Crater Foam midsole. The Crater Foam midsole utilizes 15% Nike Grind rubber, giving it a speckled finish with different dots of color that look like ground-up waste rubber granules. 

Recycled factory leftovers of Zoom X foam from the production of Nike’s Vaporfly 4% runners are used on the cushioned insole. Nike’s Flyease technology used on the Space Hippie 03 is designed to simplify the process of putting on and taking off the sneaker. A throat pull tab on the back lets you loosen the fit, while the tab on the top lets you tighten it. You’ll notice subtle details throughout the Space Hippie 03 silhouette, such as an embellished ‘eject’ label, which is part of Nike's Flyease technology. It’s meant to show you where to pull the flat tab to free the entire lacing system when you're done wearing the shoes.
