Although the silhouette was originally released in the 1970s, this version of the Spezial features contemporary upgrades. For example, the Core Blue upper is made of durable synthetic material instead of suede. This material is more breathable and lighter than traditional suede. However, the sneaker still displays the signature serrated 3-Stripes logo in Cream White and the metallic SPEZIAL lettering. In addition, the collar comes in Cream White; however, the retro-inspired woven tongue tag boasts a Crystal White background. The tag reads "adidas HANDBALL SPEZIAL" and comes with a trefoil logo.
