adidas signed skateboarder Kader Sylla to an endorsement deal in April 2021. The adidas Superstar ADV Kader Sylla Dark Purple was unveiled a little more than a year later. It was a follow-up to a black version of the same sneaker.
This adidas x Kader Sylla shoe featured a hairy suede purple upper that made it hard to miss right from the start. It also had a toe cap and a sole that were a slightly darker shade of purple to really make it stand out. There was gold adidas branding on the tongue, as well, which managed to give the sneaker a more regal look.
Our experts believe the best part of this shoe was the Kader Sylla branding that was worked into it. "KADER" appeared prominently next to the sneaker's Three Stripes, and his signature was also included on the insole.
