Nike Kobe 10

Nike Kobe 10 was launched in 2015 as Kobe Bryant’s 10th signature basketball shoe. Designed by Nike’s creative director, Eric Avar, each original sneaker features a colourway inspired by Kobe’s life and professional journey. Nike Kobe 10 joins a line-up of sneakers that celebrate Kobe’s perfectionism, and hold a special place in history since the athlete’s untimely passing.

The initial launch included 37 distinct colourways, ranging from monochromatic to vibrant. The underside of each tongue features graphics that symbolise the story or idea behind the colourway. The Nike Kobe 10 5AM Flight was inspired by Kobe’s early morning dive into the pool as he recovered from ACL surgery. The Blue Lagoon, Black, and Vapor Green colourway represents the hues of the swimming pool’s dark waters. Since its initial launch, variations of the Kobe 10 have been released featuring different styles, colourways, and inspirations.

Because the sneaker was designed with performance in mind, it boasts a minimalist design and a streamlined silhouette. While some variations of the Kobe 10 come in leather, most offer a lightweight, seamless textile upper that fuses to the midsole. The sleek outsole and midsole house a Lunarlon sole unit as well as a Zoom Air unit in the heel. The outsole’s traction system features a grid of tiny nodules that provide grip on the court and create a texturized look.

Although the collection primarily features men’s footwear, there are also primary school sizes available, including the Nike Kobe 10 Hero (GS), which takes inspiration from Kobe’s childhood love of action figures.
