Under Armour has a unique story as one of the more recent entries into the world of sneakers. Founder Kevin Plank was a high-level athlete, playing football at the University of Maryland, and he knew what athletes needed. At first, Under Armour made great-looking, moisture-wicking performance apparel. It wasn't until 2006 that the brand got into footwear, releasing a football cleat. The attention-grabbing "Click Clack" commercial, along with an NFL sponsorship deal, helped to establish the brand as a force to be reckoned with. In 2008, UA released its first sneaker. The first Under Armour running shoe dropped next in 2009. Today, Under Armour makes signature shoes for the likes of Steph Curry and offers their footwear in both child and adult sizes. These sports shoes are usually brightly colored, like the High Vis Yellow/High Vis Yellow-Guardian Green colorway of the Under Armour Curry 6 Coy Fish. Another great example is the Curry 7 Sour Patch Kids in Lime/White. The 6 and 7 are mid-profile shoes, while the Curry 4 has more of a throwback, high-top look.
