After six hilarious and heartbreaking seasons, Mindy Lahiri, everyone’s favorite romantic comedy-addicted gynecologist who fluctuates between chubby and curvy thank you very much, finally found the love of her life for real this time, fellow doctor Danny Castellano, the neurotic Italian-American with childhood baggage and very strong opinions on NYC mayors that you (and Mindy) couldn’t help but love.
The brainchild of Mindy Kaling, who played Kelly Kapoor in NBC’s The Office, The Mindy Project aired on Fox beginning in 2012 and ended its run last November on Hulu. Along the way, Mindy gave us many relatable and laugh out loud one-liners (“Look at these wrists! Look at how dainty they are! They can barely lift the enormous calzones I eat!”) a reason to say “exsqueeze me,” introspection on the many, various challenges of relationships and Morgan Tookers, a car-thief turned male nurse who was the best friend you wish you had.
And if you were paying attention to what our fearless pop-culture obsessed doctor whose alter ego was indeed named Beyonce Pad Thai, you’d know that the Mindy Project also gifted us with some of the most flawless fashion on television – including the best designer handbags which appeared on almost every episode of the show.
From classic Chanel flaps to iconic Hermes Birkins, Mindy Lahiri is the hands down, undisputed queen of handbags.
We know, because we’re obsessed with bags over here at StockX and literally tracked almost every single one that appeared onscreen throughout six seasons of the Mindy Project.
From the brand, to the model to the color to the price, we’ve got the most extensive lowdown on Lahiri’s designer bag collection. Don’t miss our supercut of all the Mindy bags and our roundup too:

Hermes Birkin
The Hermes Birkin is the mother of all handbags, with a price tag to match. Mindy carries at least six different kinds of Birkin bags throughout the show, in several different sizes and materials, from the 35 cm in Blue Jean Togo leather, to an Epsom leather yellow version to a 25 cm orange stunner that she carries around with her in “Bernardo and Anita,” (Season 4, Episode 18), where she attempts to explore and comes to term with her Indian identity in the context of America. These bags are extremely hard to get, and very expensive to buy – they start at around $10,000 and go up (and up) from there.

Chanel Classic Flap
Mindy has a lot of bags, but she sticks with the brands she loves, never traveling far away from what she knows works. Case in point? Chanel. Lots of it. Her obsession isn’t unfounded – Chanel flaps, whether they are single or double flaps, never, ever go out of style. In recent years, their value has increased and is expected to keep going up, making them great investments pieces. Retailing around $5,000, Mindy carries the Chanel flap in many color variations including black, red, pink and blue, but almost always sticks to the classic quilted lambskin leather version. The bag’s first appearance, in “Teen Patient” (Season 1, Episode 7) is the most sought after on the retail and resale markets – black leather with goldtone hardware.
She carries the Chanel flap at least 28 times throughout the series, but it makes its most prominent appearance in what is arguable the best episode – when Mindy and Danny finally meet on top of the Empire State Building. The scene is a nod to When Harry Met Sally, but includes Mindy struggling to get up a bajillion flights of stairs because of an elevator breakdown and passing out on the top floor, heaving with her pink Chanel classic flap next to her.
