Drake and Nike’s collaborative partnership has come a long way since their first release last October. What began as co-branded artist merch has blossomed into the successful NOCTA sub-label, a Drake-led lifestyle imprint that’s now expanding into sport. For their latest release, NOCTA has delivered an assortment of Drake and Nike approved golf apparel. The highlight of the collection, and our Pick of the Week, is the lightweight Nike x Drake NOCTA Golf Crewneck in Green.
As a whole, the Nike x Drake NOCTA Golf collection included twelve new pieces from jackets, to short sleeve mock necks, to a pair of wraparound sunglasses. The green crewneck has far and away been the most popular piece from the collection. Its popularity is likely due to the fact that it’s the most branded piece of the collection by far, featuring large logos on its back that are visible from several holes away. Created with course-ready form and functionality in mind, the crewneck delivers lightweight coverage and is half-lined with mesh for optimal airflow.

This golf-focused collaboration shifts the NOCTA narrative in more ways than one. To start, NOCTA Golf is bringing a new variety of pieces and colors that we haven’t seen in NOCTA before. Plus, not only does it deliver a fresh perspective for Nike on a quickly growing golf market, it also opens endless possibilities for the NOCTA imprint. It shatters the initial impressions delivered by the collaboration and maybe means we’ll see Nike x Drake Basketball, Football, Baseball, and Soccer collections in the future. Instead of just a sub-label focused on Drake’s lifestyle, we could be getting a look into Nike’s whole world through the lens of the artist.
Nike x Drake Certified Lover Boy T-shirt
Outside of NOCTA this has been quite the year for Drake. The artist began the year with the announcement that his 2021 full-length album, Certified Lover Boy, would be delayed beyond its original January release but that announcement still didn’t slow things down. In March, Drake released a short EP titled, Scary Hours, building further anticipation for his forthcoming album. Shortly after that, he revealed his custom Chrome Hearts Rolls-Royce and released an official collaborative merchandise collection with the brand for Certified Lover Boy.
Earlier this month, Drake’s new album, Certified Lover Boy, was officially released. As expected, CLB took over the billboard charts, dominating others who released their albums that same week. Two weeks after the album’s release, Drake and Nike restocked their Certified Lover Boy Merch from last year and added a few new colorways. With the release of the NOCTA Golf collection, Drake’s post-release album parade now includes his successful Nike partnership.
