At StockX, we love building tools and features that delight our millions of users while giving everyone the absolute best experience possible when buying and selling the hottest gear. That goal was our exact inspiration behind the very first StockX Hackathon that took place last week. This collaborative event gave our talented team of engineers, designers, and product makers the chance to create something innovative and let their imaginations run wild.
- D-Pop, an interior design firm in Detroit, graciously hosted the 3-day event in its Instagram-worthy office: a renovated bank, replete with a working vault.
- Over 75 engineers, designers, and makers gathered in teams of three to five to build the best technical elevation for StockX that they could in the short timeframe. Some had worked together before while others were just meeting for the first time.
- Five of our amazing leaders judged the projects on four unique criteria: Business Value, Technical Complexity, User Experience, and Technical Readiness.
Major credit goes to all the teams that put together a great round of projects — some of which might make their way into our users’ hands soon! We’d love to tell you the incredible ideas and new features that won the day, but we don’t want to spoil the surprise.
