Debuting in 1930, the Speedy is one of the few original Louis Vuitton handbags and will always remain a classic. Inspired by its larger counterpart, the Keepall, the Speedy was named after the increasingly fast-paced living environment of the time.

It was first made available in three sizes (30,35 and 40) until style icon Audrey Hepburn came along and requested a smaller version to match her petite frame. Thus, the Speedy 25 was born:

Almost 90 years later, the Speedy has remained as iconic as the people who have carried it throughout the years, including Beyonce who just showed off her custom Speedy recently:

Louis Vuitton has released the bag in several colors, patterns and materials – it’s also featured in collaborations with artists, giving Speedy aficionados a wide variety of bags to choose from.

In addition to its staple sizes, Louis Vuitton has also released a widely popular nano version and one that comes with a bandouliere strap, meant to be slung over the shoulder. Just like other classic Louis Vuitton bags, the Speedy features a coated canvas exterior, brass hardware, vachetta leather handles and trim. See the Speedys we have available at StockX:
