French designer Jean Paul Gaultier and Supreme have joined forces for the streetwear brand’s Spring/Summer 2019 season. The combination of high fashion and streetwear is nothing new to the New York based brand and something that Gaultier has been wanting to do for some time. Stating that sportswear has been intertwined into his designs for years, he wants to reach a new generation. The new collection comprised of a variety of pieces ranging from primarily apparel but also including accessories and even some Vans sneakers. Here we see their take on the popular MA-1 jacket. For their offering they decided to go with reversible option. Made in two color options the body of the jacket was made for a water resistant poly with fill for comfort and warmth. Seen here in brown, the jacket has contrast in the form of black ribbed collar, cuffs and most of the hem. Hand pockets with snap closures are used along with full zip closure. The final bits of details were the branding. A enamel logo plate was added onto the chest while on the inside we see the dual-branding graphic from Gaultier. And don’t forget that everything was made to be put into a packable backpack that also has some branding attached.
