The Air Jordan 31 is a silhouette inspired by the Air Jordan 1, Jordan’s first pair of kicks. It is available in different designs and colorways, including the Black/White/University Red “Banned” colorway.
Air Jordan 31 sneakers feature an upper built with flexible Flyweave on the forefoot and synthetic leather in the heel section. Inspired by the first Jordan sneakers, the Jordan XXX1 features different Air Jordan elements, including the Nike Swoosh, the Air Jordan Wings logo, and the Jumpman logo on the same sneaker for the first time. The original sneaker also pays homage to the Air Jordan 1 ban by the NBA with the words “BANNED” written in big block letters on the translucent outsole and in an X on the inner section of the tongue. For cushioning, the sneaker combines the FlightSpeed technology with a full-length Zoom Air unit. A FlightSpeed plate is placed on top of the Zoom Air bag for support and cushioning.
Air Jordan 31 sneakers have a translucent rubber outsole with a herringbone pattern for traction and a multidirectional grip. For fit, they utilize the Flywire lacing system with strong, strategically placed filaments to support the midfoot. A high-cut collar with six anatomical pods grips the ankle while a leather heel counter offers support. The shoe has an inner sleeve that wraps the foot. The Air Jordan XXX1 is available in mid and low-cut designs like the XXX1 Low Black White. Special Editions like the Jordan XXX1 Low California Bears, the 2017 March Madness release for California Golden Bears and the XXX1 Low Marquette, the 2017 March Madness release for Marquette Golden Eagles, are also available in this selection.
