Kevin Durant’s KD series of Nike basketball shoes has gone through a number of iterations over the years, but it has always remained relevant and highly coveted. 続きを読む
As one of the best and most highly paid players in the NBA, Kevin Durant carries the distinction of having his own line of sneakers manufactured by Nike. Known as the KD or Kevin Durant Series, it has had a new kind of sneaker added to it every year dating all the way back to Durant’s rookie season in the NBA in 2007-2008. Nearly the entire line has been the brainchild of shoe designer Leo Chang, though there has been plenty of input from KD himself along the way. Over the years, the series’ colorways have been extraordinarily diverse, though black has remained at least partially present in nearly all incarnations of the shoe, mixed in with other perennial favorites like blue, red and orange. The KD 12 in University Red/Black-White, made for the 2019-2020 season, is highly beloved by sneaker enthusiasts. High-performance Nike sneaker technologies like the Forefoot Zoom Air, which both cushions the foot and springs back from impact to put some extra bounce into your step, and a phylon midsole, which provides an ideal combination of cushioning and lightness to the wearer, have long been mainstays of Chang’s design. The series’ main change over the years, however, has been its evolution from a mid-top to a low-top silhouette.
