If there are any Olympic swimmers out there who are into streetwear, they likely felt like they took home the gold last week after Supreme announced their Speedo collaboration. The collaboration resulted in two colorways of swim goggles and swim caps, but, unfortunately, the release did not include an actual skin-tight Supreme Speedo Swimsuit. Either way, we’re more than excited to see if Supreme gets any airtime whenever the Olympics return.
This release doesn’t have to be just for swimmers of the Olympic variety, though. If you like to do any kind of swimming with your eyes open, the goggles will make for a fun flex on your friends. We’d be careful with the swim cap though, that accessory has some pretty specific use case scenarios. Don’t be the guy at the cookout who brought his Supreme Swim Cap for a simple dip in the pool, that’s not a good look, Michael Phelps.
While this is Supreme’s first collaboration with Speedo, it’s not their first time taking a dip in the world of water accessories. If the swim goggles aren’t your speed, last summer’s Supreme Cressi collaboration included a snorkel set, including a more relaxed, and comfortable pair of goggles. For those less concerned with speed and more concerned with floating around, the goggles from the Cressi Snorkel set are for you.
