The Off-White Ikea Blue Rug Red/Blue is from the first Ikea x Off-White collaboration. Virgil Abloh founded Off-White in 2013, following his 2012 successful boutique streetwear shop Pyrex Vision, as his first High-End streetwear company. The company was described by Abloh as “the gray area between black and white as the color off-white.”
Off-White quickly began to collab with other fashion industries, so it comes as no shock that Off-White and Virgil branched out to collaborate with Ikea. Ikea has been a giant in the furniture and home accessory game and has been the world’s biggest furniture supplier since 2008.
The rug is a solid bright red, with the word “BLUE” written across the middle in blue, and the Off-White “branding” in the bottom right corner in white.
