Supreme Lee Hooded Sweatshirt Black

The Supreme Lee Hooded Sweatshirt has a basic look that can easily become a part of your clothing rotation. If you know anything about the history of graffiti, especially in New York, then you know about Lee Quinones. The artist has been tagging and spraying on the streets of the city since the 70’s. He was part of some of the largest tagging crews around and was one of the first people to bomb full subway cars. His style of art continually evolved, often times including commentary to his pieces. He also helped put into focus social issues including poverty, war and society. His works becoming so popular that his canvas changed from illegal public spaces to museums like at the MoMa. For the Supreme Spring/Summer 2018 the artist and streetwear brand created an assortment of apparel and accessories. Not surprisingly the classic Supreme hooded sweatshirt was one of the most popular pieces. Made from the comfortable cotton fleece, it has a pouch pocket along with matching hood stings. We see the black colorway here, one of seven made. The most important feature is the addition of original art from Lee though. On the front we see the addition of a squirrel holding a gun along with the Supreme name in Lee’s writing. On the back Lee adds a signature tag. The Supreme Lee Hooded Sweatshirt dropped on May 3rd, 2018 for $148 both online and in-store locations outside of Japan. Grab yours now on the marketplace.
