Top Five Women's Sneakers of 2019

When it comes to the end of the year and wrap up lists, we always hear about the kicks that dominated the sneaker market. But never do we praise heat that’s exclusively for women. As a man that’s been involved in the sneaker community for over a decade, I must say the ball has been dropped too many times. This is the beginning of an era where we must add space for women. Part of the reason why women exclusives stand out is that they provide an enormous amount of sauce. Well, it’s time for a change, and I’m willing to join the movement. Scroll down below to check out the hottest women’s exclusives to hit the market in 2019.

Jordan 1 High Satin Black Toe (W)

Jordan Brand hopped inside of their luxury bag with the Jordan 1 High Satin Black Toe (W). Arguably the best sneaker of summer 2019, the Jordan 1 Satin Black Toe came, it saw, and it dominated. The fact that this shoe was a women’s exclusive made no difference to the numbers, because everyone tried copping a pair before, during, and after the release date. When you add silken material to a historic silhouette on top of a legendary colorway, history will be made. Take that for data.

Air VaporMax 2019 Cactus Plant Flea Market (W)

Nike teamed up with Cactus Plant Flea Market to drop one of the dopest sneakers ever, the Air VaporMax 2019 Cactus Plant Flea Market (W). CPFM is known for its bouncy designs with frisky font choices, so it was only right for big swoosh to tap in and create some magic with the edgy streetwear brand. Stars like Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert were spotted wearing these kicks before the official release, which only made the sneaker sweeter than Baylor’s Juicy Landrum at the 3-point line.

Jordan 6 Retro Aleali May (W)

Aleali May added another collaboration with Jordan at the top of 2019 and created an insta-classic with the highly-anticipated Jordan 6 Retro Aleali May (W). It seems as if May has a great profitable relationship with Jumpman because every sneaker collab she touches is pure fire and sells out instantly. She’s been dropping all hits with no misses. May mixed things up by taking on the bulkier Jordan 6 silhouette, adding high-quality pink material to the sneaker MJ won his first-ever championship in.

Jordan 4 Retro Olivia Kim No Cover (W)

With the hope of giving the sneaker community a nightclub vibe straight from the ‘90s, Olivia Kim teamed up with Nike to drop five dope sneakers and delivered. The sneaker that caught everyone’s attention was undoubtedly the Jordan 4 “No Cover.” Growing up in New York, Kim had the opportunity to witness MJ in his prime while playing the Knicks. So it was only right Kim took inspiration from “His Airness” and created her very own colorway while using an admirable silhouette dripped in pony hair.

Nike Vapor Street Off-White (W)

Virgil Abloh had a sneaker run that was like none other this year. From luxury sneakers to Nike collabs, Virgil did the damn thing. But nothing can compare to his “Athlete In Progress” capsule that was exclusively for women. The capsule included a collection of sneakers that are inspired by track-and-field. The sneaker that stole the show had to be the Nike Vapor Street Off-White. These kicks literally stole the show as they were debuted in the Off-White SS 2019 Women’s runway during Paris Fashion Week.
