Prior to 2015, Kanye West had created his fair share of Yeezy sneakers, but he had yet to unveil any Yeezy boots to the world. That all changed with the release of the Yeezy 950, which was a duck boot that had a military-inspired design. The Yeezy 950 was available in a wide range of colors, including the adidas Yeezy 950 Pirate Black (2015), and it helped usher the adidas x Yeezy partnership into a brand new era. It became clear that Kanye was no longer focused on releasing only sneakers, as the Yeezy 950 would become the first of many Yeezy boots released through his line.
Since then, Kanye has gone on to release a handful of other Yeezy boots. The Yeezy Desert Boot was one of the first ones to follow the Yeezy 950, and just like it, it was released in a slew of different colors. From the dark black adidas Yeezy Desert Boot Oil to the much lighter adidas Yeezy Desert Boot Salt to the more colorful adidas Yeezy Desert Boot Taupe Blue, Kanye pulled out all the stops with this particular boot.
Kanye didn’t stop there with his Yeezy boots. While the Yeezy 950 and Yeezy Desert Boot both had fairly tame designs by Kanye’s standards, he went way outside of the box with a few of the other boots he chose to release while working with adidas. The adidas Yeezy NSLTD Boot Khaki, with its puffy upper and its laceless design, was one of them. The waterproof adidas Yeezy Knit RNR Boot Sulfur was another.
