Human Made is a Japanese fashion and lifestyle brand that was initially created in 2010 as a collaboration between stylist and music producer Nigo and entertainer Pharrell Williams. The brand aims to celebrate authenticity and self-expression while focusing on craftsmanship, quality, and sustainability.
Human Made produces a variety of basic wardrobe staples, including t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and other apparel. Many of the brand’s items are composed of natural fibers, such as cotton, to be environmentally friendly and provide breathability and comfort. There are also products that are made of synthetic fabrics, such as polyester, due to their properties that help prevent wrinkles and increase durability. The brand’s jackets are typically made from a blend of synthetic materials, including nylon and polyester. The jackets may have an inner liner that is made of a blend of polyester and fleece.
Human Made has collaborated with a diverse range of artists and performers to create various clothing lines. For example, the brand has worked with A$AP Rocky to make a line of streetwear that is both contemporary and vintage-inspired. The Human Made x Asap Rocky Human Testing T-Shirt comes from this line and was first released in March of 2022.
Another collaboration that Human Made has done was with Billionaire Boys Club, otherwise known as BBC. Together, they produced the Human Made x Billionaire Boys Club I Know Nigo Hoodie, a special edition hoodie that features a dog and duck in space helmets on the front, as well as an astronaut on the back.
