The original A Bathing Ape BAPE SK8 STA sneaker was released back at the turn of the century, and it became a huge hit almost right away, especially among those in the skateboard community. BAPE has brought the shoe back a few times, including in 2023 when the brand unveiled the A Bathing Ape BAPE SK8 STA Panda Patent Leather.

The Panda version of this sneaker featured a white upper with shiny black patent leather overlays that made the shoe shine. It also had BAPE’s signature STA logo on the sides, with additional BAPE branding on the back of the shoe. A black rubber outsole completed the look of the sneaker by continuing to play up its "Panda" theme.
