The Air Jordan XXXIV Black Cat draws direct inspiration from the namesake colorway of the Air Jordan 4, originally released in 2006 and inspired by one of Michael Jordan’s many nicknames.

The Air Jordan XXXIV Black Cat features are clad in stark black hues, which are the name of the game here. Matte tones are used on the mesh-and-synthetic upper and EVA midsole, while glossy shades appear on the tongue trim, forefoot's detailing, and signature midfoot Eclipse Plate. This Eclipse Plate provides standout lightweight support and also encases one of the few color deviations: a neon green Zoom Air cushioning unit in the forefoot. Although the mostly concealed Zoom bag does indeed break up the monochromatic stylings, it's not the only piece that partakes in deviation from the norm.
