The BAPE Shark Tee (SS20) Black is a cotton short-sleeved t-shirt featuring a variation of BAPE’s Shark artwork printed on the front. Two rows of shark teeth, in black and white and red and white, and a set of red and white eyes are bisected by an image of a silver zipper. BAPE branding appears on the interior collar tag, and a label is attached to the left sleeve.
Japanese streetwear brand BAPE is widely associated with its signature artwork motifs, including the ape head and shark. As the originator of the shark hoodie, which placed military-style shark artwork on the hood of a hooded sweatshirt, BAPE references itself with the Shark Tee. The zipper’s bisection of the image transmutes the iconic hoodie style to a t-shirt.
