Product Description
Nike co-founders Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight both shared close ties to the University of Oregon, so Nike has created a slew of Oregon-themed sneakers over the years. The Nike Air Foamposite One Oregon Ducks was one of the most highly-regarded pairs.
To create this Foamposite, Nike brought back the silhouette that Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway popularized in the 1990s and added Oregon-specific touches to it. The Foamposite upper featured a feather motif on it to represent the Ducks mascot that Oregon has traditionally used. The sneaker also included green laces and a green mesh lining as well as green and yellow pull tabs.
But in our expert opinion, it’s the clear outsole with flecks sprinkled throughout it that ties the design of this Foamposite together. Having the Oregon football team’s logos appear on the tongue and heel was also a nice addition. The Nike Air Foamposite One Oregon Ducks was released on December 30, 2013, and it retailed for $250.
