The Jordan 11 Retro Low IE Referee (2015) got its nickname because NBA referees are only allowed to wear black shoes on the court – just like this model.

The Referee colorway of the 2015 release of the Jordan 11 Retro Low-Top IE, IE standing for "International Exclusive," features an upper of black mesh with black tumbled leather overlays. The laces, tongue, sock liner, and insoles are all black. The foam midsole is black with encapsulated Air cushioning, and the rubber outsole is also black with undulating lines of traction.

A red Jumpman logo appears on the black tongue tag and the black insole, and a black and red checkerboard pattern accents the medial midsole.
