Product Description

While most of the kids in the late 80s grew up wanting the Chicago Bulls inspired colorways, there were some that preferred the "different" look of OGs like the 1989 Nike Air Jordan IV "Military Blue" version. As the only non-Chicago Air Jordan 4 from the original colorways, the Military Blue AJ4 stood out like a sore thumb. Whether that was good or not, depended on what neighborhood you were from. It would be hard to list a favorite detail of the Air Jordan 4 for most because designer Tinker Hatfield created such a masterpiece with so many new and never seen before elements on the AJ4. Beginning with the extended tongue that was significantly longer than any mid-cut sneaker design at the time, and continuing on through the side where a mesh panel and plastic "A-arms" locked down the shoes when laced up, and down to the visible Air unit in the heel, the Air Jordan 4 Military Blue was filled with Tinker’s magical touches. Although Michael Jordan never laced up the Military Blue OG Air Jordan 4, NCAA hoops fans might remember seeing Georgia Tech star and former NBA All-Star Kenny Anderson lacing up a pair as a part of the famed trio known as the "Lethal Weapon 3." Regardless of how you became aware of the OG Nike Air Jordan 4 Military Blue back in 1989, the memories likely make it one of the shoes on your cop list.
