LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Expansion Set 45681

Product Description

The LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Expansion Set 45681 adds building elements and electronic components for more advanced robotics projects. Designed to complement the SPIKE Prime Set 45678, it expands the range of mechanisms and structures learners can create. Its combination of larger components and additional hardware makes it particularly relevant for builders progressing toward more complex engineering challenges.

The expansion contains over 600 LEGO elements, including large wheels, gear racks, a Color Sensor, and a Large Motor. A dedicated Maker Plate supports integration with single-board computing devices, offering another route for experimentation. Used with the SPIKE Prime core set and SPIKE App, the expansion connects to more than ten hours of competition-focused learning activities and accompanying lesson resources.

For an existing SPIKE Prime collection, the value comes from increasing the available building options and adding components for different tasks. The expansion format supports continued experimentation with movement, sensing, and robot construction. Released on April 1, 2022, the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Expansion Set 45681 retailed for $110.
