The streamlined Black Taupe New Balance 1906R features an upper that starts with a base of airy black mesh that reduces the weight of the sneaker and promotes maximum air flow. Black suede overlays course across the upper in asymmetrical patterns. A black TPU heel counter provides rear foot stability, while an N-Lock lacing system helps support the midfoot. The midsole in shades of vanilla is composed of ACTEVA LITE cushioning as well as ABZORB SBS cushioning in the heel. N-ergy in the midsole and outsole absorbs shock, while the outsole Stretchweb technology helps provide arch support.
Our favorite standout detail on this pair of kicks is the branding that hits the heel. Rather than a conventional flying NB, this is a small NB framed by a red square outline, giving the shoe a look of distinction. The New Balance 1906R Black Taupe was released on August 29, 2022, for $120 retail.
