The New Balance 2002R BAPE Grey riffs off the streetwear label's recognizable design cues, just like their previous footwear products. 

The textile upper is dressed in various shades of grey, coated in BAPE's ABC camo design, and reinforced with subtle suede overlays. The heel counter features suede panels adorned with the Shark design, with the teeth of the shark purportedly polished in silver reflection and the N logo with silver reflective detailing. The BAPE STA emblem is subsequently embossed on the front vamp, coordinating with the immediately below tumbled leathers in tone. An N-ergy rubber outsole supports the foot while an off-white ABZORB midsole offers lightweight cushioning.
