The Nike Air Force 1 Type Black Gum is a unique and innovative iteration of the iconic Air Force 1 silhouette featuring a deconstructed and experimental design. It was released as part of the N.354 collection which explores unconventional aesthetics.
The shoes have a predominantly black upper made from a mix of leather material and synthetic overlays. They also have a semi-translucent, deconstructed panel on the rear inner quarter as well as water-resistant reinforcement on the edge of the toe box. On top of that, the shoes also have a gum rubber outsole for durability and traction on various surfaces.
Our favorite feature of the Nike Air Force 1 Type Black Gum is the adjustable strap that originates from the translucent panel and wraps around the heel with a Velcro patch at the end. It adds to the aesthetic while also providing a more secure fit. The shoes were initially released at the retail price of $140 on 20th April 2020.
