The Nike Air Max 1 was initially released in 1987, and since that time, it has been re-released in almost every color imaginable. But few Air Max 1 sneakers have had the same premium look that the Nike Air Max 1 Jewel Rare Ruby had.

The upper on this Air Max 1 was almost entirely white, save for several pops of red on the tongue tags, heels, and Swooshes. The Swooshes, in particular, were extra special because they were mini–Jewel Swooshes that made them stand out even more than they would have otherwise.

The coolest part about this sneaker, though, may have been on the bottom of it. It had a translucent outsole with a large black Swoosh that further separated it from other versions of the Air Max 1. The Nike Air Max 1 Jewel Rare Ruby was released on June 5, 2017, and it originally retailed for $140.
