The Metallic Gold iteration of the Nike Air Max 95 features a base of corduroy-like muted gold textile with undulating shiny textile overlays in gradient shades of gold. A darker, almost bronze textile overlay covers the toe cap and shapes the front of the shoe. Pearly Gold looped eye stays match the laces that cross over the corduroy-like tongue. A chunky white foam midsole houses three visible Air Max units – two under the forefoot and a longer one under the heel.
What we love most about this shoe are the hits of black that spark contrast against the gold. The sock liner, tongue lining, and insole are black, as is the heel counter that sports embroidered Nike branding. The visible ridge of the sock liner mirrors the black rubber of the outsole, tying together the look of the shoe. And as the final touch, a Nike Swoosh outlined in black graces the lateral collar.
