The Nike Air Tailwind 79 Denim takes the very first silhouette that featured Nike Air in 1978 and re-releases it, sticking as close to the original as possible.

The Denim iteration of the Nike Air Tailwind 79 features an upper where the base is composed of two different patterns of pinstriped denim. Pale-blue suede overlays adorn the toe cap and heel, while darker blue textile covers the eyestays and heel tab that sports orange Nike branding. Black leather forms the iconic Nike Swoosh that courses across the side panel. The laces and the tongue with Nike branding are white, while the sock liner is blue mesh.

What we enjoy most about this sneaker is the historic sole, which gives the sneaker a sleek look. The white foam midsole with air rests atop a black rubber outsole that features heritage waffle lugs to absorb impact and provide grip.
