This shoe features a multi-material upper, with synthetics, fuse, neoprene, and textiles on each pair. Its upper, which sits atop a white midsole with Zoom Air cushioning and a black rubber outsole, is highlighted with a graphic of little butterflies fluttering below thick golden chain links, asymmetrical Gold Metallic Nike Swooshes on the quarter panels with the one on the medial side being smaller and inverted, and a synthetic tongue, liner, laces, leather ankle stabilizers, and mudguards in black. For additional cushioning, each Nike KD 13 Butterflies and Chains shoe has a foam-based insole with Kevin Durant x Air Zoom logos.
