Nike Kobe 3 ProtroOrca

Product Description

The Nike Kobe 3 Protro Orca revives the black-and-white colorway associated with the model’s original public debut in early 2008. A predominantly black upper contrasts with a white Swoosh wrapping around the heel, creating the orca-inspired appearance behind its nickname. Anthracite and Varsity Maize details complete the palette, connecting the returning design to an important chapter in Kobe Bryant’s signature footwear history.

The Protro construction updates the basketball-net-inspired upper with breathable mesh backing. A full-length Air Zoom Strobel replaces the original model’s separate cushioning units, working with Cushlon 3.0 foam beneath the foot. Nike also revised the traction pattern to support directional cuts and stops. Diamond details across the upper and outsole add another personal reference, honoring Kobe’s daughter Natalia and her middle name, Diamanté.

This edition combines an original colorway with changes across the upper, cushioning, and outsole. For collectors, the Orca finish provides a direct visual connection to the Kobe 3’s first era. Released on September 26, 2026, the Nike Kobe 3 Protro Orca retailed for $210.
