Product Description

The Nike PG 3 University Red was unveiled about a week before the Oklahoma City Thunder decided to trade Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019. It provided PG with a pair of sneakers that would work well with his new Clippers uniform.

This version of the Nike PG 3 had a leather and mesh upper that was covered in a bright University Red color. It was offset nicely by the black used around the sneaker's collar and on the outsole along with the white midsole. This midsole also featured a few more pops of red courtesy of the Swooshes and numbered branding that appeared on it.

Our favorite aspect of this sneaker was the timing of its release. While Nike couldn't have possibly known that it would coincide with PG's trade, it gave PG and his fans a sneaker to start wearing right away with the news of his trade breaking a short time later. The Nike PG 3 University Red was released on July 1, 2019, when it retailed for $110.
