The Nike Foamposite was the result of Nike's Advanced Product Engineering Division's drive to create the best next technology after their Air Sole Unit. The result – Foamposite, a polyurethane liquid that is heated and shaped to create a shoe that snugly fits the foot. At the time of its release, it was the first of its kind, and a complete departure from the standard shoe design.

The Air Foamposite One and Pro were the first iterations of the Nike Foamposite. Released in 1997, these silhouettes featured Foamposite uppers, full-length Air cushioning, and rubber outsoles with herringbone treads for increased traction. The Pro had a gel Swoosh on the side, while the One did not include any branding. In a meeting with Nike's product team, Penny Hardaway acquired the Foamposite One as his next shoe. Moving forward with the endorsement, Nike released the Royal Foamposite One in 1997. The additional feature on this shoe was Penny's 1Cent badge on the heel and sole. Over the years, several colourways have been released. The Foamposite Pro had seven new colourways released from 2001 to 2006, while the Foamposite One was retried in four colourways in 2007. Across the 2010s, notable releases were Pewter (2011), Stealth (2012), Safari (2013), and Spider-Man (2014).

There are plenty of things to love about Nike Foamposites. In our opinion, their best attributes are their superior comfort, durability, elite grip level on the court, and springy soles. We also appreciate their stylishness.

If you're looking to spice up your collection with more than just the addition of a Nike Foamposite, you're in luck – Nike offers lots of accessories and clothing you can choose from. Like their shoes, Nike accessories and clothing are stylish and durable. They're worth every penny.
