The recycled content of the Women's Black On Running Cloud 5 Is about 44%, and the construction results in one of On Running’s most lightweight silhouettes. The black upper is crafted from anti-microbial mesh with taped reinforcements in order to combine breathability with durable structure. The lace closure built for speed can be replaced by a traditional lace closure. Hits of silver branding are scattered across this inky upper.
What we enjoy most about this shoe is the innovative sole unit. On Running uses Cloud-Tec in a Zero-Gravity foam midsole in order to provide cushioning and spring with every step. A Speed Board plastic plate courses through the midsole, allowing the shoe to flex with your foot and spring back, and enhancing energy return. The molded heel design keeps your foot secure and the deeply grooved split outsole reduces weight as it provides optimal grip.
